Waldorf Attack 3 is a virtual percussion synthesiser designed to offer total control over the creation of electronic drums. The heir to an iconic instrument, this new version introduces an extended virtual analogue engine capable of generating up to 24 independent sounds per kit, many of which can be played polyphonically like melodic instruments.

Designed for electronic, techno, EDM and synthwave producers, Attack 3 focuses on synthesis rather than samples. Each sound can be created from virtual analogue oscillators, complemented by sample playback, enabling the design of both percussive kicks and experimental percussion. This hybrid approach offers great flexibility for rhythmic sound design.

The sound engine features two oscillators per sound, with frequency modulation, ring modulation and precise transient control. Combined with an extensive filter section including different types of 12 and 24 dB filters, comb filters and sample reduction, the plugin allows you to sculpt detailed, modern percussive textures.

Each instrument also features advanced multi-stage envelopes and two synchronisable LFOs, offering advanced modulation possibilities. This architecture makes Attack 3 particularly well-suited to producers looking to create evolving, glitchy or experimental rhythms.

The integrated effects section turns the plug-in into a real rhythmic production station. Each sound has its own EQ, compressor and assignable effect, while additional output busses allow you to apply global processing with delay, reverb, drive or modulation. This organisation makes it easy to create complete kits ready for mixing.
