Almería brings to mind a city in Andalusia where classical guitar and flamenco have coexisted for generations – a name that MARTINEZ associates with its Almería Artist AS CE model. The spruce top produces high frequencies with a clarity reminiscent of that southern repertoire, whilst the rosewood bridge transmits the vibration of the strings without dampening it.

The agathis back and sides give the body a softer mid-range, a choice of wood that balances the clarity of the spruce. The mahogany neck retains its shape under tension, and an adjustable double-action truss rod allows the neck’s curvature to be adjusted according to the climate.

The rosewood fingerboard features 20 frets, a number that allows you to explore the neck beyond the first few positions. The 52 mm bone nut provides generous string spacing for arpeggio and classical picking techniques.

The built-in piezo pickup captures the signal from the nylon strings without the need to fit an external pickup, ready to switch from an acoustic rehearsal to a live performance. The Savarez CJ-500/V strings fitted as standard maintain stable tension, whilst the high-gloss natural finish allows the wood’s grain to show through. Manufactured in China as part of MARTINEZ’s Almeria series, this electro-acoustic classical guitar is designed for those who play both in the studio and on stage.
