When played with the thumb, the MARTINEZ KEMA SIGNATURE WHITE MP Solid White, a 4/4 electro-acoustic flamenco guitar from the Almeria Signature KEMA series, delivers the crisp, dry sound characteristic of flamenco playing, ranging from energetic picado to rasgueo that strikes the bass strings. The solid spruce top responds quickly to the attack and produces a dry, almost percussive tone, typical of guitars built for the golpe and the palmas.

The solid maple back and sides provide a brilliance that cuts clearly through the mix of a tablao, beneath a glossy white finish. The mahogany neck holds its shape well in the face of changing climatic conditions, and the ebony fingerboard allows the fingers to glide smoothly from one position to the next across the 20 frets. The 650 mm (25.59") scale length and 50 mm (1.97") nut width provide ample spacing between the strings, which is useful for the cejillas used in the traditional repertoire.

The combination of a piezo pickup and the Fishman Presys Blend pick-up (PSY-301 system) reproduces the natural tone of the wood without distorting the acoustic sound. The 70 mm body depth creates a resonance that boosts the sound even without the pickup. Supplied in a hard case, the guitar can be transported to gigs without risking damage to its white finish.
