Martinez - Performer MSCC-14MS RN + Étui

The history of the Martinez Performer MSCC-14MS RN electro-acoustic classical guitar with a nylon string and case began in Germany in 1978 with Wolfgang Jellinghaus, before continuing in Guangzhou in 2005 with the American luthier Kenny Hill. This European heritage and American craftsmanship are integrated into Chinese production, which keeps Spanish methods and handcrafting at the heart of the Performer series.

The instrument’s flamed maple back and sides catch the light beneath the high-gloss natural finish. The spruce top adorns the face of this 4/4 classical guitar, with a generously proportioned body. The cutaway provides access to the higher frets on the neck for passages played in this area.

The mahogany neck features a double-action truss rod to adjust string tension, with an ebony fingerboard and 24 frets. The 650 mm scale length retains the classic proportions, whilst the 48 mm bone nut spaces the Savarez nylon strings. The rosewood bridge and Martinez tuning machines complete the instrument.

Beneath the bridge, the piezo pickup transmits vibrations to the Fishman preamp. Volume, a 3-band equaliser, tuner and phase control are all accessible for adjusting the signal before amplification. The case supplied protects the guitar whilst on the move.
