Martinez - Performer MSCC-14RS EN + Étui

Two signal sources for a single nylon-string guitar: this is the starting point for the Martinez Performer MSCC-14RS EN, an electro-acoustic classical guitar from the Performer series. A piezo pickup under the bridge captures the attack of the strings, a condenser microphone inside the body adds the resonance of the top, and the Fishman preamp combines them before sending the signal to the PA system. The body, slimmer than a traditional classical guitar, is less of a hindrance to the right arm, whilst the cutaway provides access to the treble strings.

The spruce top delivers a crisp attack, whilst the back and solid rosewood sides round out the bass. The rosewood bridge transmits the vibration of the strings to the top. The glued mahogany neck retains its stability from one season to the next, and the rosewood fingerboard, with a 14-inch radius and 22 frets, allows the hand to glide over a gently arched surface. The 650 mm scale length and 48 mm nut maintain the classic guitar specifications. The natural finish features a gloss finish on both the body and the neck.

The classic tuning machines with chrome hardware keep the nylon strings in tune throughout playing. Martinez’s history began in Germany in 1978 with Wolfgang Jellinghaus, before the brand established itself in Guangzhou in 2005 with luthier Kenny Hill. The case supplied accompanies the guitar when travelling.
