To integrate an HDMI video source directly into a NovaStar H-series model, this input card provides an HDMI 2.0 input capable of handling a 4K signal at 60 Hz. Its compatibility with HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 1.3 makes it easy to connect sources from different generations, whilst support for HDCP 2.2 enables the display of compatible protected content.

The NovaStar Card IN 1x HDMI 2.0 H Series input card provides a simple input interface for high-definition video sources intended for use with an H2, H5, H9 or H15 processing system. Its HDMI 2.0 connector allows the signal to be captured directly from a computer, media player, set-top box or other video equipment fitted with an HDMI output.

The maximum resolution is 3,840 × 2,160 at 60 Hz, providing a 4K UHD signal suitable for high-definition video content and display setups requiring a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The card also supports custom resolutions, with a width of up to 4,092 pixels and a height of up to 4,095 pixels. This makes it possible to adapt the signal to display surfaces whose aspect ratios do not correspond to the standard 16:9 format.

Compatibility is not limited to HDMI 2.0. The NovaStar Card IN 1x HDMI 2.0 remains compatible with HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 1.3. This backwards compatibility allows for a degree of freedom in the choice of sources and avoids restricting an installation to the very latest equipment.

Support for HDCP 2.2 is another important feature for sources broadcasting protected content. It enables the card to be integrated into video systems where this protection standard is used, provided that all connected equipment is compatible.
