Novastar - Card IN 2x ST 2110 (25G) - MX Series

The ST 2110 enables the various components of a media signal to be transmitted over a standard IP network infrastructure. For LED installations integrated into a broadcast control room, a control centre or a production line, this approach opens up the possibility of using a common network architecture rather than limiting video distribution to traditional links. The NovaStar Card IN 2x ST 2110 (25G) – MX Series provides precisely this functionality for MX Series Main Frame chassis.

The card features two SMPTE ST 2110 inputs, each capable of receiving a signal up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz. The streams are transmitted via 25G SFP28 interfaces, with two primary ports paired with two secondary ports. The integrated LED indicators allow the status of the various interfaces to be monitored visually, thereby facilitating the checking of connections within a technical infrastructure.

This architecture also adapts to the type of fibre available on site. The card supports transmission over single-mode or multi-mode fibre, allowing optical modules to be selected according to distance, existing cabling and network characteristics. With a suitable link, video-over-IP transmission can reach up to 10 km, facilitating connections between remote technical areas.

When installed in a NovaStar MX Series mainframe, this card can be used, in particular, to feed streams from a production or broadcast network infrastructure directly into the processing chain for an LED display. It is therefore suitable for architectures in which the IP network acts as the transport medium between video sources and the display controller.

The card occupies a single input slot in the chassis. It is supplied without the 25G SFP28 modules, which must be selected and purchased separately depending on the type of fibre and the constraints of the network in use. This separation allows the optical connectivity to be tailored to the installation rather than imposing a single configuration.
