Novastar - MCTRL4K

The NovaStar MCTRL4K is a high-end 4K video controller designed for managing large LED screens in demanding professional environments, whether for live events, permanent installations or broadcast centres. It is positioned as a robust and flexible solution for controlling complex display surfaces with high image precision.

Capable of handling 4K resolution at 60 Hz (3840 × 2160), the MCTRL4K supports multiple inputs including HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.2 and Dual Link DVI. It offers great configuration flexibility thanks to its support for custom resolutions, allowing it to be adapted to LED screens of a wide variety of shapes and sizes.

One of its key strengths is its capacity to handle 10.4 million pixels, making it ideally suited to large LED walls used at concerts, sporting events or in immersive installations. In multi-card mode, it can operate as two independent controllers, allowing two separate video sources to be managed simultaneously.

The MCTRL4K incorporates advanced image enhancement technologies, including support for HDR10 and HLG, as well as independent gamma adjustments per RGB channel. These features deliver a more precise image, with improved contrast, better grey-scale uniformity and more accurate colour reproduction.

For environments requiring low latency, the controller delivers performance of less than 1 ms, ensuring perfect synchronisation between the video source and the LED display. It also supports 3D via the EMT200 transmitter, enhancing its capabilities for immersive visual experiences.

In terms of connectivity, the MCTRL4K features 16 Gigabit Ethernet outputs and 4 SFP slots for fibre optics, enabling long-distance transmission of up to 10 km with the appropriate modules. It can be controlled via USB, Ethernet or a web interface, as well as through the Smart LCT and NovaLCT software.

It combines processing power, stability and integration flexibility, whilst remaining suitable for critical environments such as large stages, control centres or permanent event installations.
