Novastar - Card OUT 1x HDMI 2.0 - H Series

When a NovaStar H Series system needs to provide high-definition HDMI video output, the 1x HDMI 2.0 OUT Card provides an interface that can be used directly by a display or control equipment. This output card fits into the H2, H5, H9 and H15 chassis and features two HDMI 2.0 connectors.

The distinctive feature of this NovaStar Card OUT 1x HDMI 2.0 lies in the operation of the two outputs. They do not constitute two independent streams: HDMI connector number 2 exactly replicates the signal output by connector number 1. This duplication can be useful for simultaneously feeding the same content to two devices – for example, a control screen and a second display – without altering the signal processed by the system.

The maximum native resolution is 4,096 × 2,160 at 60 Hz. The card also supports custom resolutions, allowing the signal to be adapted to less conventional display formats. The width can reach 8,192 pixels, whilst vertical configurations can go up to 7,680 pixels depending on the format selected. This flexibility makes it possible, in particular, to work with panoramic content, extended displays or layouts requiring an aspect ratio other than the traditional 16:9.

The HDMI 2.0 output supports RGB 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:4:4 and YCbCr 4:2:2 formats at 8 or 10 bits. This compatibility offers a degree of flexibility in adapting the output to different video devices and processing chains. Finally, two status LEDs, located next to the HDMI connectors, allow you to quickly check their status and whether a connection is present.

The Card OUT 1x HDMI 2.0 thus complements the output capabilities of NovaStar H Series processors with a high-resolution HDMI interface designed for display, monitoring or video signal duplication.
