Novastar - DIS-300

When an LED installation needs to supply multiple display zones from a limited number of network streams, data distribution becomes a key element of the architecture. The NovaStar DIS-300 addresses this issue by acting as a distribution interface between the control equipment and the various segments of the screen. It is particularly well-suited to set-ups comprising multiple screens or where the same content needs to be distributed to several branches.

The DIS-300 offers two distinct operating modes. With a single active input, the signal can be distributed to eight RJ45 outputs. A second configuration, by contrast, allows inputs A and B to be used simultaneously, with each stream distributed across four outputs. Switching between these two configurations is managed automatically, eliminating the need to manually adjust the cabling depending on the selected configuration.

Each output also has independent settings. This feature allows the parameters associated with the system’s various branches to be adjusted separately and takes into account the display settings specific to LED screens. Port mapping, carried out via software, complements this flexibility and enables data distribution to be organised according to the physical layout of the screen.

The DIS-300 works with NovaStar equipment without requiring the installation of specific drivers. Its use therefore focuses on managing the display network rather than adding a complex software layer. This approach is particularly suitable for installations where several LED zones need to be powered from a single control infrastructure.
