Novastar - ET4S-G

The NovaStar ET4S-G is a media server designed to handle the entire content playback and management process for LED screens. It does more than simply play videos: its platform allows you to organise media, create programmes, manage multiple display zones and adapt the presentation of content to the screen layout.

The software offers great flexibility in programme creation. Videos, images, image sequences, audio files and documents can be grouped and organised in a library to prepare content in advance. Programmes can then be built using multiple layers, the size, priority and various display settings of which can be adjusted. In particular, the system allows users to work with cropping, masks, transparency, cut-outs and blur effects.

The ET4S-G also allows the preparation of content to be separated from its broadcast thanks to its editing and playback modes. In pre-edit mode, programmes can be prepared before they go on air, whilst Live mode allows content to be modified and controlled directly whilst it is being broadcast. Source management is not limited to locally stored files: NDI sources, web pages, multimedia streams and signals from capture cards can also be integrated.

For large-scale set-ups, the NovaStar ET4S-G can utilise multiple video outputs and arrange them in a tiled display. Outputs can be distributed, rearranged or rotated to accommodate screens of unusual shapes. With a suitable synchronisation card, several servers can also be linked with frame-by-frame synchronisation, allowing the system’s capacity to be expanded whilst maintaining perfectly coordinated playback.

Finally, control can be centralised using NovaStar’s VICP platform, which allows users to view inputs and programmes, manage display configurations and control multiple devices from a single interface. The ET4S-G thus provides a comprehensive solution for LED installations requiring a combination of playback power, creative freedom and advanced content control.
