REFERENCE : NOVMX6000PRO
The MX6000 Pro, from Novastar, is the control centre of a large-scale LED system; it receives the various video sources, organises their display and distributes the signals to the screens. Its modular design allows the inputs and outputs to be configured according to the type of production, whether it be an xR/VP set, a large-scale event, a TV control room or a fixed installation.

Presentation
The NovaStar MX6000 Pro is an 8K LED controller designed for set-ups where the number of light sources, the size of the screens and the variety of formats require a particularly scalable architecture. Integrated into the COEX system, it employs a fully modular design: eight slots are available for input cards and a further eight for output cards, allowing a configuration to be built to suit each installation rather than relying on a fixed set of connections.
This design opens the door to a wide range of video architectures. In particular, the MX6000 Pro can accommodate HDMI 2.0 or 2.1, DisplayPort 1.2 or 1.4, and 12G-SDI cards, as well as cards dedicated to SMPTE ST 2110 IP transport at 25G or 100G. A specific DP 1.4 card even allows an 8K source to be utilised at 60 Hz. On the output side, various cards allow operation at 1G or 5G, with 10G or 40G optical links and, depending on the configuration, direct 5G Ethernet outputs.
Video processing is another key feature of the MX6000 Pro. Up to 32 4K layers can be used, with independent pan and scale, whilst colour management tools include colour replacement, 14-channel correction, curves and 3D LUTs. HDR10, HLG, 12-bit processing, Dynamic Booster and multi-layer calibration allow the on-screen output to be fine-tuned, even in camera capture set-ups.
Synchronisation and operational continuity have also been designed with mission-critical systems in mind. Genlock, fail-safe architectures and automatic failover between certain components help to minimise interruptions in the event of a failure. The MX6000 Pro also features a dual power supply to keep the system operational should one power supply fail.
Control can be carried out directly via the 7-inch IPS touchscreen and front-panel controls, or via VMP over Ethernet. SNMP, Art-Net and centralised control round off the integration options. With a maximum advertised capacity of 141 million pixels, the MX6000 Pro is particularly well-suited to large LED walls, xR/VP productions, television studios, sporting events and very large-scale fixed installations.
