The MARTINEZ Flamenco MFG-AS CE AMARILLA DELUXE RN features a rare ‘amarilla’ hue beneath the gloss finish of its solid European spruce top – a choice that lends bite and crystalline clarity to the crisp attacks typical of flamenco playing. The cutaway on the soundboard provides easy access to the higher frets for soleares and rumbas that ascend into the higher register.

The 90 mm-wide agathis back and sides produce a dry, punchy tone that prioritises rhythm over sustain – a key characteristic in flamenco. The mahogany neck reduces wrist strain during prolonged rasgueados. Across the twenty frets, the rosewood fingerboard glides smoothly under the fingers without snagging, a real asset for golpes and rapid ligados. The 650 mm scale length and 52 mm nut width provide the fingers with the space needed for the tight barre chords characteristic of the style.

The OS-1 electronics system picks up the signal beneath the bridge and transmits it to the front panel without altering the original acoustic attack. Fitted with six strings for right-handed play, this 4/4-sized flamenco guitar comes with a gig bag to protect the ‘amarilla’ top whilst travelling between gigs and style classes.
