Its small size contributes to an exceptionally compact appearance, which all the typical elements of a Neumann microphone. The harmonious proportions and gleaming ring, under the grille ensure that even at first glance, the TLM 102 * attracts attention.

In sound, the TLM 102 is impressive. It includes a new large-diameter capsule, cardioid, conceding a maximum sound pressure level of 144 dB, which allows him to record percussion, drums, guitar or bass amps and other very loud sound sources level. But even the instruments of lower noise levels will benefit from the very rapid response of the TLM 102 on transitional. However, its main field of application remains the voice, spoken or sung. A slight increase of the response curve beyond 6 kHz ensures excellent presence of the voice in the mix. Up to 6 kHz, the frequency response is very linear, resulting in a minimum and a severe coloring clearly defined. The capsule is mounted on a resilient suspension, removing the structure-borne structural noise. A pop screen integrated into the grille eliminates plosives during singing voice recordings or spoken in the vicinity.

Thanks to its price and its many fields of application, the TLM 102 is ideal for home studio recording and for project studio sector, as well as broadcasting, especially if it is important not to interfere visibility of animators.
The TLM 102 is available in black finish and nickel; it comes with its attachment for microphone stand.
