Novastar - Card IN 1x ST 2110 (25G) - MX Series

The NovaStar Card IN 1x ST 2110 (25G) – MX Series enables an IP video stream to be fed directly into the architecture of an MX Series mainframe. Its key advantage lies in its compatibility with the SMPTE ST 2110 standard, which is widely used in broadcast and production infrastructures where various video streams are transmitted over an IP network rather than via a series of traditional video links.

The card supports a maximum resolution of 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz and utilises a 25G SFP28 interface to carry the signal. It can therefore be integrated into an existing network infrastructure and help to organise video sources more flexibly. In a control centre, production control room or broadcast facility, this architecture makes it possible, in particular, to centralise various sources and route them to the LED display system according to operational requirements.

Two 25G SFP slots are available on the card, configured with one primary port and one secondary port. LED indicators allow the status of the links to be monitored and facilitate operational checks directly from the chassis.

Transmission can be carried out over single-mode or multi-mode fibre. With the appropriate modules and infrastructure, the link can extend up to 10 km, allowing the processing equipment and the LED system to be physically separated without increasing the number of copper links over long distances.

The card occupies an input slot in the MX Series Main Frame. The 25G SFP28 modules are not supplied: they must be selected separately depending on the type of fibre used and the installation requirements. This approach allows the optical connection to be adapted to the existing network whilst retaining the capabilities offered by the NovaStar MX platform.
