REFERENCE : NOVH5
In an LED screen installation, the Novastar H5 acts as a central hub for bringing together the various video sources and constructing the image to be displayed on the screens. It offers great flexibility in organising content, scaling it and distributing it across multiple display zones, whilst allowing the configuration to be adapted as the project progresses.

Presentation
The Novastar H5 plays a central role in the processing chain of an LED installation: the various sources are fed into the chassis, where they are organised and combined, and the resulting image is then distributed to the screens. This approach allows several functions – which are usually spread across different pieces of equipment – to be consolidated, resulting in a clearer architecture within the control room.
Its key advantage lies in its modular design. The chassis accommodates up to ten input cards and three output cards, each of which can be selected according to the signals to be processed. HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, SDI and even VGA can thus be integrated into the same infrastructure, without requiring an identical configuration for every project. As the cards are pluggable, the system can be adapted as requirements change.
Once the sources are available, the H5 allows multiple content streams to be combined within a single image. Up to 48 layers can be utilised, with scaling and cropping functions that make it easy to adapt video windows to different areas of an LED wall. Management of multiple screens and EDID settings also provides greater control over the relationships between sources and displays.
For the LED section, the processor can manage up to 39 million pixels using an H_20xRJ45 send card. Other cards allow the use of optical links and increase this capacity depending on the chosen architecture. The H5 also supports 10-bit processing, HDR10 and HLG to preserve more information in video content.
Operation is not limited to the front panel of the unit. Control can be carried out via Ethernet or RS232, whilst the web interface allows access to the system from various environments. This remote management makes work particularly easier when the processor is installed in a control room or a technical rack that is difficult to access. Genlock, signal monitoring and the option to add a redundant power supply round off this solution, which is designed for fixed installations where operational continuity is just as important as configuration flexibility.
