The Steinberger Spirit XT-2 Standard Bass is a 4-string electric bass that perfectly embodies the concept of the travel bass thanks to its revolutionary headless design and remarkable lightness.

With its striking Yin Yang Gloss finish, it is part of the Spirit collection and stands out for its ingenious construction and modern look. The basswood body and 3-piece maple neck provide even resonance and impressive robustness.

Weighing only 7.5 pounds and measuring 38.5 inches, it is ideal for traveling musicians, easily slipping into the overhead compartments of airplanes.

Featuring the patented DoubleBall™ Bass Bridge and the Direct-Pull tuning mechanism with a 40:1 ratio, the XT-2 guarantees perfect intonation and rock-solid stability. Without a traditional headstock, the weight is better distributed, providing a balanced and comfortable grip.

The nut width is 1.50 inches and gradually widens to 2.156 inches at the 12th fret, with 0.70 inches of spacing at the bridge, for optimal comfort across the entire length of the neck. The steel bridge ensures excellent durability and long sustain.

On the tone side, the XT-2 is equipped with Steinberger HB-1 (bridge) and HB-2 (neck) humbucking pickups, which deliver a powerful and versatile sound. The controls allow you to adjust the volume of each pickup independently as well as the overall tone, offering a wide range of tones. An integrated folding leg rest improves playing comfort when seated.
