Presentation
The David Gilmour DG20 Total Eclipse Kit from EMG is a black active electronics package designed for Stratocaster guitars. Pre-wired on a pickguard, it includes three EMG SA pickups, a 5-position selector switch, a volume potentiometer and SPC and EXG circuits. This configuration allows you to quickly replace the original electronics while benefiting from a complete system that's already assembled.
The SA pickups use Alnico magnets and deliver a balanced response suitable for a wide range of playing styles. Their active design helps to reduce background noise while maintaining good note definition.
The EXG control acts at the extremes of the sound spectrum, boosting bass and treble. The SPC, on the other hand, boosts the midrange to bring more presence and density to the signal. Used separately or together, these two circuits offer a wealth of adjustment possibilities directly from the instrument.
Used by David Gilmour since 1985, the DG20 is a complete solution for guitarists wishing to equip their Stratocaster with an active system incorporating pickups, controls and pre-assembled electronics in a single, ready-to-install package.
