Novastar - Card IN 1x HDMI 2.0 / 1x DP 1.2 - H Series

When an LED system needs to accommodate a digital source without increasing the number of available connections, the NovaStar Card IN 1x HDMI 2.0 / 1x DP 1.2 input card offers a particularly straightforward configuration. This input card is designed for the NovaStar H2, H5, H9 and H15 video wall switchers and allows you to choose between an HDMI 2.0 source and a DisplayPort 1.2 source depending on the connected equipment.

The operating principle is deliberately simple: both interfaces are available on the card, but are not active simultaneously. The HDMI 2.0 input supports HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 1.3 and can receive signals up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz or 8192 × 1080 at 60 Hz. The DisplayPort 1.2 connector, for its part, ensures backwards compatibility with DP 1.1 whilst supporting the same maximum resolution formats.

This flexibility makes it possible, in particular, to connect a computer, a graphics workstation or another digital video source without having to specify a particular output type in advance. For an installation where multiple devices may be used as required, the inclusion of both these standards on a single NovaStar card simplifies the choice of connection type during integration.

Support for HDCP 2.2 also enables the processing of sources compatible with this content protection standard. The NovaStar Card IN 1x HDMI 2.0 / 1x DP 1.2 also features LED indicators that allow the signal status to be quickly checked directly from the module.

Installed in an input card slot on the H Series chassis, this card thus integrates into a modular architecture where the interfaces can be adapted to the type of sources actually used in the LED system.
