Novastar - Card IN 2x RJ45 (IP) - H Series

The NovaStar Card IN 2x RJ45 (IP) input card offers a different type of video input to the HDMI, DisplayPort or SDI cards in the H range; here, images are received directly as a network stream. This architecture allows IP cameras, network video sources or certain surveillance equipment to be integrated without first converting their signal to a traditional video link.

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports provide the network connection. The card supports the DHCP protocol to facilitate its integration into an existing infrastructure and supports several standards commonly used to transmit or stream IP video. In particular, RTSP enables the retrieval of streams from cameras or video servers, whilst GB28181 and ONVIF expand compatibility options with compatible video surveillance equipment and video management systems.

In terms of compression, the Card IN 2x RJ45 (IP) – H Series can decode H.264 and H.265 codecs. Its processing capacity allows it to handle up to four streams at 3,840 × 2,160 at 30 fps or up to sixteen streams at 1,920 × 1,080 at 30 fps, depending on the chosen configuration. This flexibility allows the decoding load to be adapted to the resolution of the sources and the number of content streams to be processed simultaneously.

The card is installed in an input slot on the chassis and complements the other interfaces available on the NovaStar H2, H5, H9 and H15. It is particularly well-suited to installations where conventional video sources and network streams need to be combined within a single processing and display architecture.

With its two RJ45 interfaces, DHCP support and compatibility with RTSP, GB28181 and ONVIF, the NovaStar Card IN 2x RJ45 (IP) thus provides a dedicated interface for IP video decoding directly within the H Series chassis.
