Novastar - Card IN 4x 3G-SDI - H Series

SDI remains particularly prevalent in video production infrastructure, notably for cameras, control rooms and broadcast equipment. With the NovaStar Card IN 4x 3G-SDI – H Series input card, four of these sources can be integrated directly into a single LED processing chassis. This configuration makes it possible, in particular, to aggregate multiple camera feeds or multiple SDI outputs from a production control room without having to use multiple input cards.

Each of the four 3G-SDI inputs supports a resolution of up to 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz. The card supports the ST-424 standard corresponding to 3G-SDI, as well as HD-SDI formats associated with ST-292 and SD signals based on the SMPTE 259 standard. This compatibility with multiple generations of signals facilitates the integration of video equipment that does not all operate at the same resolution.

Support for interlaced formats is another key feature for installations using existing video sources. The NovaStar Card IN 4x 3G-SDI can process 1080i, 576i and 480i signals using its deinterlacing function before they are processed by the LED wall’s processing system. This allows older SDI sources to be retained within a production or broadcast chain without requiring their immediate replacement.

Each of the four SDI connectors features an LED status indicator. These indicators allow the presence and validity of incoming signals to be quickly identified from the front of the module, simplifying checks during connection or when changing sources.

Designed for the NovaStar H2, H5, H9 and H15, this card occupies a single input slot. It therefore provides a suitable interface for environments where video distribution is already based on SDI and where multiple sources need to be fed into an LED system from a single unit.
