Novastar - Card IN 4x DP 1.2 - MX Series

Computers and graphics workstations frequently use DisplayPort to transmit high-resolution signals. The NovaStar Card IN 4x DP 1.2 – MX Series enables this type of source to be utilised directly within an MX Series Main Frame, with four inputs available on a single card. This configuration provides high connection density when multiple workstations need to feed into a single LED display system.

Each DisplayPort 1.2 input can accept a signal of up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz. The card also supports resolutions up to 8192 × 1080 at 60 Hz and can operate at refresh rates of up to 240 Hz, depending on the resolution and the signal being transmitted. It can therefore adapt to a range of uses, from standard 4K displays to set-ups prioritising high refresh rates.

High Dynamic Range (HDR) content management complements the card’s video capabilities. HDR10 and HLG are supported, with compatibility with the SMPTE ST 2084 and ST 2086 standards. Compatible sources can therefore retain their HDR format when integrated into the MX Series system’s processing chain.

Content protection is based on the HDCP 1.3 standard. Four status LEDs, positioned opposite the four inputs, provide an immediate indication of the validity of the received signals. This information, which is directly accessible on the card, makes it easier to check connections during installation or when a source is not delivering the expected signal.
