The NovaStar Card IN 4x HDBaseT is an input card from the H series, which enables video sources and their associated audio to be transmitted to the LED system via four Gigabit RJ45 links. Its operation can be adapted as required, with a Single Link mode for four sources up to 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz, or a Dual Link mode using two inputs for signals up to 3840 × 2160 at 30 Hz. The NovaStar Card IN 4x HDBaseT – H Series input card offers an alternative way of routing video sources to an LED processing system. Its four RJ45 connectors are used as HDBaseT interfaces and enable the transmission of video signals along with their audio. This architecture integrates with the NovaStar H2, H5, H9 and H15 chassis and allows inputs to be organised according to the required resolution.

In Single Link mode, each of the four RJ45 ports can receive a single source. Each link then supports up to 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz. This configuration allows several Full HD sources to be distributed across the same card, with one independent input per connector. Custom resolutions remain possible up to a width of 2560 pixels or a height of 2560 pixels, with aspect ratios such as 2560 × 983 or 884 × 2560 at 60 Hz.

Dual Link mode, on the other hand, prioritises resolution. In this configuration, only ports 2 and 4 are used to receive signals, and each link can support up to 3840 × 2160 at 30 Hz. Custom resolutions can therefore reach 3840 pixels in width or height, with aspect ratios such as 3840 × 1202 or 1092 × 3840 at 60 Hz.

This difference between Single Link and Dual Link allows the NovaStar Card IN 4x HDBaseT to be adapted to the nature of the available sources. Several Full HD streams can be distributed in Single Link mode, whilst Dual Link allows priority to be given to high-resolution sources.

Finally, HDCP 1.4 compatibility ensures the management of compatible protected content. The built-in LED indicators show when signals are detected and make it easier to monitor the card during installation or operation.
