Novastar - Card IN 4x HDMI 2.0 - MX Series

When several video sources need to be combined within a single LED display system, having multiple inputs on a single card greatly simplifies the organisation of the chassis. The NovaStar Card IN 4x HDMI 2.0 – MX Series thus combines four HDMI 2.0 inputs into a single slot in the MX Series Main Frame. It allows several computers, video players, production control units or other sources equipped with a compatible HDMI output to be connected simultaneously.

Each input can accept a signal up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz. The card also supports resolutions of up to 8192 × 1080 at 60 Hz and can achieve refresh rates of up to 240 Hz, depending on the signal format. This versatility allows the inputs to be adapted to the characteristics of different sources, rather than limiting the entire setup to a single video format.

The processing of HDR content is another key feature of this card. HDR10 and HLG are supported, with compatibility with the SMPTE ST 2084 and ST 2086 standards. Content with an extended dynamic range can therefore be integrated into the MX Series system’s video chain.

Protected content management is based on HDCP 2.2, with backward compatibility with HDCP 1.4 and 1.3. Four LED indicators, each individually assigned to the inputs, also allow for quick verification of the presence and validity of received signals. They provide a first level of monitoring directly on the card, which is useful during commissioning or when diagnosing a source.
