Novastar - Card OUT 20x RJ45 - H Series

In a large-scale LED installation, generating the image is only part of the job; the data must then be distributed across the various pathways that feed the panels. The NovaStar Card OUT 20x RJ45 – H Series output card is designed specifically for this purpose. When installed in an H2, H5, H9 or H15 video wall switch, this transmitter card provides twenty Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 outputs for distributing signals to the LED receiver cards.

Each RJ45 port operates at 1 Gbit/s and can support up to 650,000 pixels with 8-bit processing. When the system operates in 10-bit mode, the capacity per output reaches 320,000 pixels. The maximum rated load for the NovaStar Card OUT 20x RJ45 is 13 million pixels, allowing a large-scale display to be distributed across a significant number of network links.

The processing depth is also a key feature for installations where the quality of grey-scale levels must remain consistent across the entire LED wall. The card supports processing up to 10-bit and includes a scaling function that allows the signal processing to be adapted to the display configuration.

The twenty outputs can be configured independently. Each port can therefore serve as a primary link or be used as a backup, depending on the chosen architecture. This configuration allows for the provision of failover paths directly at the data distribution stage and enables the cabling to be adapted to the physical structure of the LED wall.

The NovaStar Card OUT 20x RJ45 – H Series occupies two output card slots in the chassis. It does not feature integrated optical connectivity: data distribution takes place directly via Gigabit Ethernet over RJ45. It is therefore a module particularly well-suited to installations where the LED receiver cards are connected to the processor via copper network links.
