Novastar - Card OUT 4x DVI - H Series

DVI remains in use in certain professional video set-ups, particularly where a fleet of screens, monitors or control equipment already utilises this connection standard. The NovaStar Card OUT 4x DVI – H Series is an output card that enables this interface to be integrated directly into the H2, H5, H9 and H15 chassis, allowing their processed video signals to be output via four DVI connectors.

One of its main advantages is the ability to choose between two connection modes. In Single Link mode, each of the four connectors is used as an independent video output. The resolution can then reach 2048 × 1152 at 60 Hz per output, which is suitable for many video monitoring, display or distribution configurations.

Dual Link mode changes the allocation of the connectors. Outputs 2 and 4 become the main links, whilst connectors 1 and 3 carry their respective signals. This configuration allows for the transmission of higher-resolution formats, with a maximum resolution of 4096 × 2160 at 30 Hz or 3840 × 1080 at 60 Hz. The choice of mode therefore depends directly on the required resolution and the configuration of the connected displays.

In terms of colour processing, the card supports RGB 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:4:4 and YCbCr 4:2:2 formats at 8-bit resolution. YCbCr 4:4:4 is also available at 10-bit resolution for compatible equipment. Four LED indicators allow you to quickly monitor the status of the outputs.
