Novastar - Card OUT 4x HDBaseT - H Series

Video distribution does not always simply involve increasing the number of outputs. With this NovaStar Card OUT 4x HDBaseT – H Series output card, signal processing can be configured differently depending on the required resolution and the number of links needed. This card adds four HDBaseT outputs via Gigabit RJ45 to a compatible NovaStar video processor and enables the simultaneous transmission of the video signal and its associated audio.

In Single Link mode, the four RJ45 ports function as four separate outputs. Each link supports up to 2,048 × 1,152 at 60 Hz, with the option to set custom resolutions of up to 2,560 pixels in width or height. This configuration enables, in particular, the distribution of multiple signals to different displays or zones within a video system.

Dual Link mode is based on a different arrangement of the connectors. Ports 2 and 4 provide the main outputs, whilst ports 1 and 3 mirror their signals respectively. The available bandwidth per link therefore allows for resolutions of up to 4,096 × 2,160 at 30 Hz or 3,840 × 1,080 at 60 Hz. Custom formats can also reach 4,096 pixels in width or height, providing additional flexibility for widescreen displays and configurations with unusual dimensions.

The Card OUT 4x HDBaseT supports 8-bit RGB 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:4:4 and YCbCr 4:2:2 formats, as well as 10-bit YCbCr 4:4:4. The status LEDs on the rear panel allow for quick verification of output signal detection. The HDBaseT link can reach up to 100 metres with suitable Cat5e or Cat6 cabling.

When installed in an H Series unit, this card provides a distribution interface suitable for LED wall, video wall and remote video display systems. It occupies a single output slot and requires no integrated optical interface. Please note that the card does not support fade transitions.
