The Fireface UFX is the new flagship of RME audio interfaces. It offers 60 audio channels, preamplifiers top of CNC range, first-class converters and 192 kHz operation. Its connectivity is hybrid, offering a USB 2.0 port and a Firewire port operating at very low latency thanks to the stability and reliability of the legendary RME drivers. Its high-resolution color display allows to use it fully autonomous converter, an encoder directly controlling the level of the main output and two headphone circuits. A new version of TotalMix based on two powerful DSP adds a range of effects (EQ, compressors, reverb, delay) the functionality of routing and mixing.
RME products have always led the way for the excellence of their sound value / price. The Fireface UFX is no exception to this good habit. It indeed adds to the excellence of the design of its analog circuitry extreme quality AD / DA conversion components. Symmetrical connections 6.35mm jacks or XLR inputs / outputs or headphone outputs guarantee noise values and very low distortion. In the pure tradition of RME, converters and preamps do not produce a particular sound color, do not add nor subtracted anything a source signal, but capture it as it is.

Equipped with the latest conversion components A / D and D / A, all inputs / outputs operate at 192kHz and offer maximum 118 dBA dynamic range on playback, even on the headphone outputs. The balanced analog inputs use the same low latency conversion design RME ADI-8 QS, section N / A being inspired by her M-Series. Both designs guarantee excellent S / N ratio and a very good rate of harmonic distortion.

Through efficient jitter reduction, SteadyClock proprietary technology provides unrivaled conversion quality, even in external clock.

All inputs / outputs have the following effects: 3-band EQ, adjustable low-cut, automatic level, compressor, expander, MS treatment, and phase reversal. Reverb and effects units are accessible through departures and returns, all at 192 kHz. The input levels can be switched individually -10 dBV, +4 dBu or HiGain (equivalent to +2 dBV, dBu to +13 dBu to +19 0 dBFS) directly in front or via TotalMix. The XLR outputs even provide a level of +24 dBu. All outputs can be used for ASIO Direct Monitoring.
