Jet Guitars JB 300 Travel Olympic White The Jet Guitars JB-300 Travel packs a 584.2 mm scale length into a roasted poplar body without compromising on the JB design: two JB-style pickups, a torrefied maple neck with a Modern C profile, a bone nut and D’Addario .050–.110 strings. The travel bass in Olympic White for those who won’t compromise on sound when on the move.

Presentation
Some instruments are defined by what they refuse to compromise on. The Jet Guitars JB-300 Travel Olympic White has been scaled down to a 584.2 mm scale length — a travel-sized, short-scale model — without the signal chain losing any of its substance: the two JB-style pickups reproduce the same balance between the warmth of the neck and the bite of the bridge as on a full-size bass, the low end just a semitone rounder at reduced volume.
The roasted poplar body — top, back and sides — retains the dry density characteristic of wood treated at high temperatures, resistant to the humidity fluctuations of a suitcase or a poorly heated dressing room. The torrefied Canadian maple neck with a Modern C profile fits the hand effortlessly, its profile neither too thin nor too thick. The roasted maple fingerboard — from the same family as the neck, with a tight grain and lively attack — spans 19 frets with a 304.8 mm radius that slightly flattens the arch for barre positions. The 38.1 mm nut width and bone nut anchor each string with a precision of transmission that moulded plastic cannot match. The double-action truss rod allows for neck adjustment in both directions — useful after a flight in the hold.
The 2-point bridge with 4 saddles, the chrome hardware and the vintage-style tuners complete the design of an instrument whose Olympic White finish and red tortoiseshell pickguard assert, without ostentation, that a smaller size is not a diminished size.
