Novastar - Card IN 1x HDMI 2.1 / 1x DP 1.4 - MX Series

The NovaStar Card IN 1x HDMI 2.1 / 1x DP 1.4 – MX Series offers a particularly convenient combination within an MX Series Main Frame: one HDMI 2.1 input and one DisplayPort 1.4 input combined on a single card. This configuration allows two different types of video source to be connected directly, without having to reserve multiple slots for dedicated cards.

The DisplayPort 1.4 input supports signals up to 7680 × 4320 at 30 Hz, whilst compatible formats can achieve refresh rates of up to 240 Hz depending on the resolution and source used. The card can therefore be integrated into set-ups using computers, media servers or other equipment capable of producing high-resolution video signals.

Image processing goes beyond resolution. HDR10 and HLG are also supported, with compatibility with the SMPTE ST 2084 and ST 2086 standards. These features enable you to work with HDR content whilst preserving the brightness and contrast information intended by the source, provided the entire video chain is compatible.

Content protection is provided by HDCP 2.3. The card also remains compatible with HDCP versions 2.2, 1.4 and 1.3, which facilitates its integration into an environment where several generations of equipment may be used simultaneously.

Finally, two LED indicators on the card provide immediate feedback on the inputs. They allow you to quickly determine whether the received signals are valid, without having to go through the system’s control interface every time to carry out an initial check.

Designed to fit into a single slot in the NovaStar MX Series Main Frame, this card serves as a versatile input interface for LED processing architectures. It combines HDMI and DisplayPort, supports high-resolution and HDR formats, and maintains extensive compatibility with the HDCP standards used by video sources.
