Novastar - Card IN 4x DVI - H Series

The NovaStar Card IN 4x DVI – H Series input card enables the integration of multiple DVI video sources into the modular architecture of the H2, H5, H9 and H15 chassis. It provides an acquisition interface suitable for installations where computers, graphics workstations, video servers or other equipment still feature a DVI output.

Two connection modes allow the number of sources to be adapted to the required resolution. In Single Link mode, the four DVI connectors are used as four independent inputs. Each connection can then handle a signal of up to 2048 × 1152 at 60 Hz, allowing multiple sources to be combined within a single video processing system.

Dual Link mode reduces the number of available sources in order to increase the resolution options. In this configuration, connectors 2 and 4 are used for video inputs, each capable of receiving a signal up to 3840 × 1080 at 60 Hz. This setup is particularly suitable for wide-format content intended for LED walls, multi-screen setups or systems requiring widescreen video formats.

The card also supports 10-bit input signals and is compatible with HDCP 1.4. These features enable it to be integrated into a video chain where colour depth and the management of protected content must be taken into account from the moment the signal is acquired.

Four LED indicators on the card provide a direct indication of the validity of the received signals. This information makes it easier to check the cabling and identify an active source without having to access a software interface.
