Novastar - Card IN 4x HDMI 1.4 - H Series

When a video system needs to bring together several players, computers or other HDMI sources in a single location, the NovaStar Card IN 4x HDMI 1.4 – H Series input card provides four input ports integrated directly into the chassis. It fits into a single card slot on the H2, H5, H9 and H15 video wall processors and switchers, thereby avoiding the need for multiple external interfaces prior to signal processing.

The input configuration comprises two HDMI 1.3 connectors and two HDMI 1.4a connectors. This difference in generation does not prevent the integration of various sources and allows existing equipment to be utilised whilst retaining two inputs compatible with the extended capabilities of HDMI 1.4.

With four HDMI signals connected, each input can handle up to 2048 × 1152 at 60 Hz. Custom resolutions extend the possibilities up to 2560 pixels in width or height, depending on the signal orientation, with formats such as 2560 × 972 or 884 × 2560 at 60 Hz. When only the four HDMI 1.4 sources are in use, the capabilities extend to 3840 × 1080 at 60 Hz per input. Custom aspect ratios of up to 4096 × 1124 or 1024 × 4095 at 60 Hz are then available.

Support for 10-bit signals provides greater flexibility for video channels compatible with this level of colour depth. This card also supports HDCP 1.4 for protected content compliant with this standard.

Finally, four LED indicators allow you to directly check for the presence and validity of HDMI signals. This visual feedback simplifies checks when connecting sources and makes it easier to diagnose an inactive input.
